Bill Border worked for many years as a freelance illustrator and designer in New York City and Colorado, doing commercial and editorial art. Upon retirement, he has successfully devoted his time to drawing and oil painting. His work represents mountain scenes, wildlife, and the human figure with a passion for movement and color. His figurative abstractions portray birds and mammals capturing their essence on canvas. Locally, his work is exhibited at the Denver Zoo, Rocky Mountain National Park, and various galleries. His paintings have appeared annually in Open Studios, at Rembrandt Yard, and in other galleries in Boulder. Nationally his work has been featured in galleries in California, Colorado, and Wyoming.
